  • 1953 80 inch refurb.

A bunch of us moved my 80 to roverbob's for the winter for some maintenance. Nice barn, bob built it himself.

The first photo is so perfect that it looks like an illustration.

Bob and I have been friends for 45 years. Chris, somewhere in the barn, I convinced to get a rover about 8 years ago. He restored it, sold it, and bought an aircooled 911. We've been friends for 48? years? I was friends with his brother in first grade. The other bob here bought a rover from my friend Aaron after he decided not to restore the bugeye he had for 12 years. Steve bought a rover from me for a few hundred. I got it for the safari top. Seth, not sure where he got his, maybe the guy in Keene? We had some steak and beer, nice evening.

Cool S1 Mark and great barn Bob! I've given up on finding a unique, mostly complete, non-rust pile rover that isn't overpriced around here. I'm now jonesn' for a CJ 2A to work on. I love punishment....

That was an enjoyable get-together. Hope we can go back out when Bob starts spinning wrenches on the truck - maybe we can make it a trip out in the Rovers.
