He deleted and reposted for $3,000. He is slowly adding pictures of what is in the lot.

He has to be known to someone here that can help him understand this crowd and how we might frown upon what could be described as a "bait and switch". I mean it might be worth that, but approach is everything.

Not a truck, but a nice assortment of parts. Hoop set, canvas, full brownchurch roof rack with ladder, lift-gate, d90 door tops new in primer, plus more. This is actually both comical and a little sad to me as I was trying to buy a series a month ago that needed all of this stuff. I tried to line it all up and missed out on the truck. And here it all is local on CL. Timing truly is everything.
Sounds like the seller is a bit sketchy, and doesn't know what he/she has............that is not a Brownchurch rack, 99.9999% sure that that is a custom stainless rack that Rovers North used to have made. I'm currently building a copy for a 109 project and the stainless material alone cost $1300..........those were very well made by a local Vermont gent, and quite pricey!

I don't think he's sketchy, though I'm not exactly vouching for him. He and I started talking when his pile was $1,250 and I continued when he added more stuff and went to $3,000.
I mentioned the Brownchurch racks on RN that go for ~$1,200. I asked him how firm on the price he was and here's his reply:

"Rovers north offers them but they do not carry the BrownChurch name and are not hand made in England. I am pretty firm on the price as if you are restoring a truck you will be saving thousands of dollars not to mention time. I have built three trucks, one blue ribbon."

I don't begrudge him for hoping to get a price he's happy with, but he won't be getting it from me and $3K.

Ha, this is the truck I was talking about in the above post that I didn’t end up getting a couple of months ago. Back for sale with a nice price bump.

                            1973 Land Rover series 3 88
                            $14,000

1973 Land Rover Series 3 88.. new galvanized frame a few years back, new gas tank, tires, rebuilt carb, misc parts. Runs and drives, could use some minor tinkering for everyday use. Comes with a hard top in poor shape. Fun little truck that is overall very solid. Selling bc I already have one and want the garage space for a recently purchased boat.
