WANTED: Early 2a speedometer to trade for my late 2a/3 speedometer.

I have a later 2a/3 speedo in my '65 2a, it has the three lights at the bottom of the gauge. It works fine, it reads about 4 mph low at 65 mph (gps). I am running 235/85 16's, so I assume it from a 109?

Anyway, I would like to switch to the original style without the three lights at the bottom. Does anyone have a 109 2a speedo they'd like to swap or sell?

Rusty, there should be a number like 1504 above the ODO and that will tell you what size tires the speedo is geared for..

The link is to a couple of pictures I took of my speedo. The # on mine is 1408. I believe that is revolutions per mile, no?

yes 1408 turn per mile,, a 750/16 is 1405, a 265/75 16 is 1402. your tires would take a 1398. Rover made a 1378, next is the 1408. Just get a gps.......
